Temporary Security Cameras and CCTV Hire Options For Events Across Sydney
So most events across Sydney are now using CCTV hire services for their mobile security camera needs. You might have seen these CCTV systems if you have attended one
So why are event organisers opting for CCTV hire?
Well to put it simply it is a smart choice. And for many of the following reasons:
- Saving money. CCTV hire costs less than hiring more security guards
- Complete visual coverage over the event
- Faster response to incidents
- Ability to keep and use the footage for future reference
- Ability to use the footage for marketing and other purposes
- Control over blind spots
- 24 hour coverage over the site from phone, pc or tablet
- Dedicated control room for monitoring and responding to any incidents
Hiring a temporary security camera for an event or construction site?
As far as security goes it just makes sense to have more cameras not just physical security guards. Technology is more reliable and we are at a time where now you can see what the guards would be seeing first hand
Giving you the ability to manage each incident accordingly. Naturally giving you more control over the event and how to respond should there be a problem.
This level of security is advanced and allows customers control over sites like never before
How Flexible is CCTV Hire?
Super flexible. You choose where you want the security cameras to be located. Where the cameras relay footage back to. And how large or small you need the system to be. Not to mention how it’s powered and for how long you need to hire the security cameras
Do I Need Power On Site?
If you have no power onsite solar powered CCTV hire or a diesel generator is your best option.
With solar however it’s important to remember there are still limitations with solar panels and how much energy they produce.
Keeping to x2 cameras per pod or station is a good idea. You can then add more stations as you add more cameras. They communicate with each other and back to the main station which holds the main recorder
On each battery and camera station which uses the power produced by the solar panel, we recommend 2 security cameras.
The other option is a generator for CCTV backup. This is great because you freely run a large CCTV system with many components just the same as you would use anywhere else. The downside of a generator is that its not completely quiet, takes up space and needs fuel
However if you have power onsite our security technicians can install any CCTV system type and run all connections with no limitations.
There are a lot of options for CCTV hire at the moment. Because of the emphasis on battery power recently, there have been many great enhancements for security systems also
Lithium batteries tend to last longer through innovation and better software which used less energy from a battery. Allowing the battery itself to not become over worked
Solar panels can charge the battery and this continuous cycle means a fully functioning system for a very long time
Now is a good time to take advantage of these advancements and ensure you have complete control over your site or event
A typical solar panel will be able to keep the battery charged powering your CCTV system throughout the year even through winter and less sunny days
SO WHAT CCTV HIRE OPTIONS DO YOU HAVE?
Well typically it’s important to establish how long you need to hire a CCTV system
The length of the hire determines the cost effectiveness of CCTV hire. Naturally the longer you hire our CCTV systems the cheaper it becomes. But recently we’ve also structured a great deal for short term hire for events. Basically making CCTV hire super affordable for events and other functions
The second determining factor is the number of security cameras you need to hire
More cameras means more security pods which is basically just the station which powers up the cameras. Each pod contains equipment such as a solar panel, battery, cabling, the camera and nodes which connect back to the other cameras and the base station
So What Does Temporary CCTV Hire Cost?
Typically a standard setup of x2 temporary site cameras with 4G connectivity costs $2400.
The setup may cost more with the addition of more cameras and additional equipment. However we provide the option to also purchase the cameras for a small fee on project completion or event completion
This also includes a waterproof enclosure but not the pole that the unit sits on. As we usually piggy back of an existing power pole or boom pole
Our biggest customers to date have been builders, developers and construction companies. However we regularly provide the temporary CCTV hire service for event organisers and event management companies as well. Our client list is growing steadily and we’re bringing our services to many small and large organisations in Sydney
In the digital age having footage of a site is so useful not only for security but also as a marketing tool for future promotions
